Thomas B. Stubbs, 76, of Magee, Mississippi, passed away at his daughter’s home, with wife and daughter by his side, Friday, May 1, 2020. He was born Monday, May 31, 1943.

Graveside Services will be held Sunday, May 3, 2020, at 2:00 PM at Magee City Cemetery. Bro. Johnny Sykes will officiate. Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Magee is in charge of arrangements. (601) 849-5031.

Mr. Stubbs was a deacon, treasurer, and lifelong member of Beulah Baptist Church. He was married for 56 years, to Mrs. Carolyn Stubbs. He was a retired deputy with the Simpson County Sheriff’s office.

He was preceded in death by his parents, J W and Sally Stubbs; brothers, Charles Stubbs and Mack Stubbs; sisters, Jackie Williamson and Jane Lewallen.

Survivors include his wife, Carolyn Stubbs; daughter, Lachel Story (Tom); grandsons, Clayton Story and Mason Story; nieces, Paula Colson, Tootie Magee, and Stacy McBride; nephews, Hank Lewallen, Kenny Stubbs, Dickey Stubbs and Bob Williamson; a host of great nieces and nephews; and a host of great-great nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Clayton Story, Mason Story, Tom Story, Noah Magee, Ivan Colson, Clint Bryant and Rex Magee. Honorary Pallbearers will be Bobby McNair and James Engles.

We would like to express appreciation to Magee General Hospital, Asbury House and Forrest General Hospice for their outstanding care.
