Magic Baseball Academy is up and running full force with activities for boys and girls of all ages.

One thing I found out…Magic Baseball is a great place to take the family or grandchildren when they come for a visit!

I don’t know if ya’ll are like me…but I want my grands to enjoy their time in Magee and experience what Magee has to offer. Following the open house at Magic Baseball Academy, I can away quite impressed with what I saw. Upon learning that Dickey and his family were paying me a very rare visit in Magee on Monday…my mind started whirling…I knew we could ride the golf cart, race the “toys” down the driveway, throw balls, work on the pool, eat Zips, (ya’ll know I don’t cook very often!), ride the go-cart, dig in the dirt, and explore the barn…but what would make a 9 and 13 year old really happy…playing baseball. Our crew loaded up…took two cars…and headed toward the big building near Vally Foods…and as my boys say…under the “water tower.” What we found inside proved to be a wonder land of delight for the young and old. Filled with jumpy toys that even a one year old could enjoy…to “cages” for hitting and pitching. Making new friends…seeing old friends…made my “big” boys very happy. Now grandmother can brag…but I’m just saying, Connor is quite the left-handed pitcher…and a strong hitter. Owner Lance Hayes asked Connor to sub for his traveling team this weekend…but the boys leave Thursday night. Preston at age 9 is a whiz at hitting and fielding. He will “run down” anyone and anything…he believes in outs and scores! Lynda and Dickey enjoyed the tour of the facility and were quite impressed with this type facility available in Magee.

Richard Willock, in partnership with Lance Hayes, is a friend of Dickey’s. Richard’s son, Braden, played baseball with Connor (Dickey was their coach) at age 9…and for several years before Connor and Preston moved to Florida. Visiting with Richard was great ‘entertainment” for my oldest son!

So, if you need entertainment for your family or children …check out Magic Baseball Academy…they even host birthday parties!
