The Meistersingers ofMississippi are seeking new members for the 2024–25 Concert Season. Interviews for prospective singers will be held at Westminster Presbyterian Church, 115 N. 25th Street in Hattiesburg, on September 3 and 5, both at 6 p.m.  No prepared music is required. New candidates will meet the conductor, sing a few scales and patterns, and learn about this year’s season and the exciting concert trip to London planned for the summer of 2025.
 
This is the perfect group for people who love to sing and enjoy performing all kinds of choral music. Choral experience is a plus, but anyone who loves to sing can come; singers will be seen in order of arrival.
 
An all–volunteer group, the Meistersingers are committed to performing great qualitychoral music for the pleasure of their members and the enjoyment of their enthusiasticaudiences. Entering their28thseasonof concerts, members range from eighteen toeighty–five, and the musical selections range from pop to classical.For more information, emailMeistersingers630@gmail.com
 
ABOUT THE MEISTERSINGERS
 
The Meistersingers, Hattiesburg’s Civic Chorus, is an all–volunteer, community group of musicians that has offered concerts for local audiences since its founding in 1996. In addition, the choir has performed at Lincoln Centerin New York City, at Cadogan Hall in London, and at Canterbury Cathedral. The Chorus is the founding arm of the Hattiesburg Concert Association, also known for the month-long annual event, FestivalSouth.
