The Scriptural passage selected for today is found in Proverbs 19:23: “The fear of the Lord leads to life: then one rests content, untouched by trouble.” King Solomon, with wisdom granted to him by God Himself, knew the importance of placing one’s trust in God, the Giver of all good things. Solomon knew that continual sinning leads to death. Fear of the Lord and acceptance of Him and His gift of salvation assures life, eternal life with God. So, while in this life, troubles are encountered by the saved, as well as the unsaved, the person who keeps God uppermost and foremost can be content, knowing that he’ll have peace of mind and heart in facing all obstacles with the guidance and comfort the Holy Spirit provides. We know that He will never leave us or forsake us! Put your trust in God. Amen!
