The day of the Lord will come like a thief.

The Scriptural passage selected for today is found in 2 Peter 3:10: “The day of the Lord will come like a thief. The heavens will disappear with a roar; the elements will be destroyed by fire; and the earth and everything in it will be laid bare.” What a day of desolation that will be on earth, but what a joyous day of triumph it will be for all those who’ve accepted the Lord Jesus Christ as their personal Savior. Yes, the BIBLE tells us that the day of the Lord’s appearing will come like a thief in the night. No one, not even the angels in Heaven, know the day nor the hour. We are told to be watchful and ready to move out in a moment in the twinkling of an eye. Eyes have not seen nor ears heard of what the Father has in store. All the glories of Heaven await us, and so shall we ever be with the Lord! Indeed! “Praise God from Whom all blessings flow. Praise Him all creatures here below.” Amen!
