The Scriptural passage selected for today is found in 1 Peter 1:15-16: “Just as He Who called you is holy, so be holy in all you do, for it is written: ‘Be holy, because I am holy.'” Holiness is a state of perfection for which all Christians should strive. While we know we cannot live a perfect life while in this mortal coil, we can strive to emulate God by living as Christ-like, as much as is humanly possible. Reading the BIBLE, maintaining an active prayer life, and showing love and grace toward our fellow man are ways we can seek to live a holy life. “Lord, help me to live for others, that I might live like Thee.” Amen!
