Several weeks ago, I posted a story about working with the city to have a trash can (Keep Magee Beautiful) placed near the RR tracks in front of my house to encourage people to “dump” their trash in the can and not on the ground!

Blake Sullivan

Actually, I have gotten some trash in the can!  But this week, I noticed a water bottle on the ground and not in the can.  Now, one of my friends said it was because when they tried to pitch the bottle into the can, they missed.  That sounds like a plausible reason…but I’m just saying “hit the can.”

As we struggle to clean up our city, every one makes a difference.

Someone posted or messaged me that all I care about is trash.  You know what, they may be right!  Certainly, I care about a lot more…but trash does occupy my thoughts (that doesn’t sound right!).  I am saddened by the lack of respect people have for their own property much less public property.

I will probably go to my grave fussing about trash…so hopefully you will have to put up with me for a long time.
