The Scriptural passage for today is found in Matthew 11:29: “Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls.” When we accept Jesus as our Lord and Savior, He becomes our teacher and example; therefore, we are to assume qualities of His character, wanting to be more like Him and less like our mortal selves. His gentleness and humility are key to His character. What would the world be like were everyone of a gentle and humble nature? Let’s strive to be more like Him and less like everybody else. Let’s look above and keep our eyes fixed on the One who made and fashioned us to be like Him.
Okay, we have another chance today to share the joy, love, and kindness Jesus expects of us. Let’s do our part to help make the world a better place in which to live. Happy Wednesday!
