The election for Supervisor District 2 & 5 in Simpson County is in full swing.
Voting is Tuesday, August 29, 2023 7-7 at regular voting places.
In District 2, Danny Craft & David Johnson square off in a race which 518 votes were cast for Craft and 294 for Johnson.
In District 5, Daniel Ferguson VS Charlie Westmoland. Westmoland led the ticket with 479 to Ferguson’s 403.
Absentee voting is in process at this time. Check with Circuit Clerk Wit Fortenberry at the Simpson County Court House to cast your ballot.
Following the tight race between Lawana Thompson and Joe Worrell for Aldermen Ward 2 in Magee, one or two votes can make the difference.
If one voted Democratic in the first election, one will be required to vote Democrat in this election. If one voted Republican, one is required to vote Republican.
If you did not vote in the first election, you can vote on the 29th.
