The Scriptural passage chosen for today is found in 2 Corinthians 7:1: “Since we have these promises, dear friends, let us purify ourselves from everything that contaminates body and spirit, perfecting holiness out of reverence for God.” Oh, to be able to lead a pure and holy life. How marvelous that would be. Well, we can strive to do so in our walk with God, but we must be committed and stay faithful to His teachings and precepts. In the process of sanctification, we will make that walk, hand in hand with Jesus, as we near the prize of the high calling of God. God is ever-faithful to keep His promises. We, in turn, must “trust and obey, for there’s no other way to be happy in Jesus, but to trust and obey.” Hallelujah and amen!
