Yesterday, I joined people from all around the world in posting on social media as part of the #EndIt campaign – to raise awareness to the scourge of human trafficking.
But, Twitter decided you couldn’t see my video.
Staff from every division in the Mississippi Attorney General’s Office joined me in this video, holding up red X’s – the symbol of the #EndIt campaign, a sign that we can all help to stop more vulnerable people from joining the over 40 million women, men, and children who are already trapped as trafficking victims.
So, I’m posting it here and I hope you will share it with your friends and family and help more people become part of this movement to end human trafficking.
This video isn’t lewd or obscene or hateful. It doesn’t depict nudity or gore or violence. It doesn’t incite others to do harm.
The only thing offensive about this video is the subject matter – the $150-billion international industry of enslaving human beings in sexual exploitation and forced labor.
Big Tech shouldn’t be able to censor your speech just because they can.
Free speech means free speech for everyone.
I got censored for raising awareness about human trafficking. The talk radio station, Supertalk, was censored for sharing the Governor’s post about getting vaccinations. A grandmother in North Mississippi was censored for posting a Bible verse. A high school history teacher got banned six months after posting supposedly offensive material.
If it can happen to us, it can happen to you. … It can happen to anyone.
I was fighting Big Tech for your free speech before. But now I am more determined than ever.
I hope you will join me in this fight.
