By James Davis
The Scriptural passage for today is found in Ephesians 4:15: “Speaking the truth in love, we will in all things grow up into Him who is the Head, that is, Christ.” The early Christians are here being taught the very rudiments of living peaceably with their fellow brothers and sisters in Christ. Love and truth, as we have learned, are essential if we are to be Christ-like. Pride and haughtiness have no place in the life of Christians; therefore, we must put aside such negative attributes by studying and emulating the life of Christ.
I hope that we’ll each purpose in our hearts and mind today to share the love, joy, and kindness with all those with whom we come in contact. The poet Wordsworth wrote that a man is measured by his many acts of kindness. Let it be said of us.
Happy Saturday!
