The Scriptural passage is found in 2 Chronicles 7:14: “If My people, who are called by My name, will humble themselves and pray and seek My face and turn from their wicked ways, then will I hear from Heaven and will forgive their sin and will heal their land.” This is one of my favorite Scriptures, in large part because it contains a promise from God to His people as to specific actions necessary to bring about change. Yes, we Christians are being addressed by God with clear instructions to bring about those changes for the better in all areas of our lives. Turning to God and relying solely on Him are key to bringing about this transformation. Let us keep this verse foremost in our minds at all times and do what we know we must. Amen!
Now, we know our charge for the day: share with others the love, joy, and kindness with which God has imbued us. Let’s not be stingy with those gifts He gives us so freely. Determine to make a difference.
