Southern Miss-Mississippi State Football Game set for Sept. 5
The University of Southern Mississippi Golden Eagles football team will square off with the Mississippi State University Bulldogs Saturday, Sept. 5 at 9:05 p.m. at M.M. Roberts Stadium – “The Rock” – in the season opener for both teams. The game will be broadcast on Fox Sports 1.

Southern Miss-Mississippi State fans are also invited to a tailgate party at the Hattiesburg Zoo, located at 107 South 17th Ave. off of Hardy Street, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Admission to the tailgate party at the zoo’s Golden Eagle exhibit is free; admission to the zoo, where activities for children will be held, is $5. Fans wearing their school colors get $1 off zoo admission, and shuttle service to and from the Hattiesburg Zoo and USM campus will be provided free of charge.
