SCA Varsity Boys welcomed #2 AAAA Jackson Prep to our place in a big way Tuesday night, November 27th.  From the jump off the Cougars were faster than Prep and jumped out to a 15-2 lead halfway thru the 1st period. All five on the court performed at a high level defensively and the scorers did not disappoint. The night before against Central Hinds Jacob Berry had the hot hands dropping 26 and this night it was Brandon Cranford that slashed for 32 with Sam McWilliams adding 20 more. At the end of the half it was SCA 37 Prep 20. The second half the score didn’t show the whole story as Simpson built a 30 point lead before calling off the dogs (or in this case cats). When the buzzer sounded, Simpson had put up over 70 on a very good Jackson Prep team winning 71-50.
SCA boys win big for both of their Christmas Tournament games. 1st game they beat Mize 64-14 after leading 50-6 at the half then beat McLaurin 74-37, Brandon Cranford had 30 in the game, Jacob Berry had 19 and Sam McWilliams had 18 to remain undefeated at 16-0. This week SCA has 4 games, Monday at Leake, Tuesday at Laurel Christian, Friday home against ACCS and Home against East Rankin on Saturday.
