On Tuesday, March 3, 2026, Jenna Simonini and Clint Ashley of Boswell Regional Center visited the state Capitol and spoke with Senator Andy Berry about programs for intellectual disabilities.

Boswell Regional Center – Magee, MS

Boswell Regional Center is a Mississippi Department of Mental Health facility providing specialized services for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities, located in Magee, MS.

Overview and Mission

Founded in July 1976 on the grounds of the former Mississippi State Tuberculosis Sanatorium, Boswell Regional Center now serves over 350 clients across six locations in the state www.brc.ms.gov. Its mission is to offer specialized program options to help individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities achieve successful community transitions through collaboration with individuals, families, and communities www.brc.ms.gov+1.
