On January 01, 2016 Deputy John Kilpatrick was conducting a safety check point on HWY 49N when Dana Lynn Pierce from Calvert, Alabama came through the check point, It was determined that her driver’s license was suspended. Ms. Peirce appeared to be under the influence. With the assistance of Deputy Scarborough, Deputy Kilpatrick was able to locate three bags of a crystal like substance believed to be Methamphetamine in the vehicle. Dana was carried to Simpson County Jail where she was charged with possession of methamphetamine, possession of a controlled substance, suspended driver license, possession of paraphernalia and DUI.
