In recognition of Earth Day, sixth grade students at Simpson Academy took learning beyond the classroom and into the campus by participating in a cleanup effort aimed at making a difference right where they live.

Armed with gloves, trash bags, and a willingness to serve, the students spent part of their day picking up debris and litter from designated areas. Their efforts not only helped beautify the surroundings but also reinforced the importance of environmental responsibility.

Teachers and staff members guided the students throughout the project, using the opportunity to emphasize the value of taking care of natural resources and being mindful of how everyday actions impact the environment.

Earth Day, observed each year on April 22, is a global event dedicated to promoting environmental awareness and encouraging efforts to protect the planet. For these Simpson Academy students, the day was more than just a lesson—it was a hands-on experience in giving back and taking pride in their community.

The cleanup effort served as a reminder that even small actions can make a big impact, and that the next generation is already stepping up to lead the way in caring for the world around them.
