At approximately 4:30 PM, Simpson County Sheriff Donald O’Cain was transported by ambulance to a Jackson Hospital. The ambulance was escorted by Simpson County Sheriff’s Department, Hinds County Sheriff’s Department, and Rankin County Sheriff’s Department.
Sheriff O’Cain had not felt well during the day.
The extent of his illness is not known at this time.
