Mrs. Craven grew up in Magee. She graduated from Magee High School in 1950. That same year, she married “the love of her life’ Jack Craven. She worked at State Guaranty Bank as teller, later becoming bookkeeper and retired with 30 years of experience. She enjoyed sewing, gardening, cooking and cherished each and every moment with her family and friends. Mrs. Craven had no enemies. She made everyone feel welcome, always with a kind word. Mrs. Nan was the definition of a true Southern Lady.
