Oh what a day of Softball!

Our SCA Lady Cougars started the day playing Central Private ending with a quick win of 17-0.  Next game our Lady Cougars faced the Columbia Cougars (for the 3rd time this year).  SCA jumped out to a 1-0 lead until Columbia came back for a 6-1 score in the top of the 5th inning.  The bottom of the 7th inning  our Lady Cougars never gave up to come back for a 6-6 tie. The game continues in International Overtime (8th inning): Columbia scores 2 runs before our SCA ladies shut them down making score 8-6. Last at bat, SCA Lady Cougars started with Morgan Griffith on 2nd, Allison Richardson hits a hard ball straight to 3rd, Bailey Sartin hits a Homerun that was called back as a double yet allowed Morgan to score.  Molly Shotts was automatically put on base. Victoria Blakeney get a hit over 2nd base and  Bailey gets a “heated” out at home.  Katie Holt slaps a great hit to get on base and pushed Molly to 3rd. Annie Maddox comes up to base and hits a “bomb” hit over 2nd base that pushes Molly and Victoria across the plate to win the game.    Oh my gracious what a game.   Gotta LOVE these SCA LADY COUGARS SOFTBALL GIRLS.

Games continue for Monday at 10 am against Silliman.
