Rene’ Jones Promoted to Vice President at Peoples Bank

MENDENHALL – In a move that reflects the banking industry’s focus on new technologies and electronic access to accounts, Peoples Bank President and CEO Dennis Ammann today announced that Rene’ Jones has been promoted to Vice President, e-Banking.

Ms. Jones is a graduate of Mississippi State University, where she earned her degree in Banking and Finance. Prior to joining Peoples Bank in 1998, she worked as a Teller and Customer Service Representative.  Since joining Peoples Bank, she has worked in a variety of positions from Teller to Poultry Lending Assistant, Security and Fraud Prevention Officer and in the Information Technologies Department. Currently, she serves as Debit Card Manager and e-Banking Manager.  She recently received her certification as Accredited ACH Professional (AAP) from NACHA.

She and her husband, David, have three children: Zac, and his wife, Bailey, Katie and Zane.

“We believe in cutting-edge technologies that make life easier for our customers,” Ammann said. “I am pleased to announce Rene’s promotion as a measure of Peoples Bank’s commitment to providing account access at our customers’ fingertips through their phones, tablets, and computers. Our customers will be in great hands with Rene’s knowledge and experience.”

 

 

Ashley Jones Promoted to Vice President, Marketing

MAGEE –Ashley Jones has been promoted to Vice President at Peoples Bank, Magee, according to bank President and CEO Dennis Ammann. Ms. Jones began working with the bank on a part-time basis in 1995.

She is a graduate of the University of Southern Mississippi, where she earned her degree in Communications and transitioned to a full-time position in 1998. As Vice President, she will continue her responsibilities as overseeing marketing, advertising and public relations for Peoples Bank.

Ms. Jones is active in a host of civic endeavors, including teaching a communications class at Women’s Hope, formerly Christian Women’s Job Corp, serving as Assistant Director for Magee’s Miss Hospitality Program and is a youth volunteer at First Baptist Church, Magee. She is a graduate of the Simpson County Leadership Program and a former president of the Magee Chamber of Commerce.

She and her husband, Kelly, have two children: Mollie and Thomas.

“In our role as a true community bank, the lines of communication we share with our customers and our communities are vital,” Ammann said. “I commend Ashley on her promotion and look forward to her continued leadership in our marketing program.”

 

Franklin Promoted at Peoples Bank to VP

MAGEE –Dennis Ammann, President and Chief Executive Officer of Peoples Bank,  announced that Leslie Franklin has been promoted to Vice President. Ms. Franklin will continue to work in Human Resources and as a Training Officer. She is responsible for administering the bank’s Human Resources policies and associated functions; new hire orientation and exit interviews, employee communications, benefits, training, maintaining employee files and records, supervisory assistance, and employee payroll.

Franklin is a graduate of Woodland Hills Baptist Academy in Jackson and earned her degree from Western Carolina University in Cullowhee, North Carolina. She has more than 20 years of banking experience.

The Mendenhall resident is married to Stephen Franklin. They have one son, Jackson, and are members of First Baptist Church, Mendenhall.

“Leslie adds a great deal of experience to Peoples Bank,” Ammann said. “We are pleased to acknowledge her important roles both in Human Resources and in the ongoing professional training of our bankers.”
