The Scriptural passage chosen for today is taken from Philippians 3:20: “But our citizenship is in Heaven, and we eagerly await a Savior from there, the Lord Jesus Christ.” The apostle Paul, in his letter to the Church at Philippi, wanted to reassure the members that, although their earthly citizenship was under Roman rule, their real residence and full citizenship awaited them in Heaven. Jesus Himself awaited them, as He also awaits those of us who have accepted His gift of salvation. Don’t put off this most important decision if you have yet to make it. Believe, repent, and experience the joys of salvation. Amen!
