Jimmy Lewis Ashmore Jr., 48, passed away at his home in Mize, Mississippi.
Jimmy was born January 8, 1978, and grew up in Mendenhall, Mississippi. He was a free spirit who enjoyed the simple things in life. He loved hunting, NASCAR, horses, four-wheelers, and good music. Of all the things and people he loved throughout his life, there was always a special place in his heart for his mama. Jimmy was the son of the late Belinda Ashmore and Jimmy Ashmore Sr.
A memorial service will be held at a later date. Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Mendenhall is in charge of arrangements. 601-847-4401
He was also preceded in death by his brother, Dustin Ashmore.
He leaves behind his two children, Faith Ashmore and Dustin Ashmore; his grandsons, Beau Carney and Fisher Sharp; as well as several beloved aunts, uncles, cousins, and extended family members who will remember him dearly.
Those who knew Jimmy knew that his life was not always an easy one, but his struggles were only one part of his story. He was also a son, a brother, a father, and a grandfather. He will be remembered for the good times, the laughter, his love of the outdoors, and the memories he gave to those who loved him.
There is comfort in knowing that Jimmy is now reunited with the people he missed so deeply, especially his mama, and that he is finally at peace.
Jimmy will be cremated, and his family will carry his memory with them in the years to come.
