This is what his precious granddaughter, Molly wrote:

“The hardest working man I’ve ever known, my grandfather, Mr. Nelson Wells, left us this morning to go to his forever home. He and my Granny just celebrated 66 years of marriage a few days ago. Besides his family, building and remodeling homes was the greatest joy of his life. He told me a few weeks ago that he sure did hope God would have a building job waiting for him when he got there. And I have no doubt that he did. We are all sad to let him go. But know that he is in a better place now and his health and sight are restored forever. We will be planning a memorial service to celebrate his life, and I will update you all with the details when we have them.”
