A pre-need purchase, sometimes referred to as a pre-planned or pre-arranged funeral, is any purchase of funeral goods and services made by the living to be provided at the time of death.
Funeral homes are required to pay into a trust money collected from consumers who pre-pay for funeral goods and services (Miss. Code Ann. § 75-63-59) or offer insurance plans to cover these expenses (Miss. Code Ann. § 75-63-61).

The Secretary of State’s Office will contact all affected clients of National Funeral Home with documentation of their funding. In the meantime, clients who pre-purchased funeral goods and services may contact the Secretary of State’s Office at 601-359-9055 with any questions or concerns.
