Michael Eugene Blackwell, 67 of Quitman, MS passed away Tuesday, September 2, 2025 at his residence in Quitman, MS. He was born Friday, March 21, 1958 in Magee, Mississippi.
Visitation will be held on Friday, September 5, 2025 from 1:00 pm until 2:00 pm at Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Magee in 302 Eighth Ave SW, Magee, Mississippi. Funeral services will be held on Friday, September 05, 2025 at 2:00 pm at Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Magee in Magee, Mississippi. Burial will follow in Zion Hill Missionary Baptist Cemetery in Mize, MS. Brother John Barnes will officiate. Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Magee is in charge of arrangements. 601-849-5031.
Michael was a tried and true Ole Miss Rebels and New Orleans Saints fan. He worked as a truck driver for Stewart Trucking for many years. He also worked for Howard Industries and Component Concepts in Laurel for many years. Michael enjoyed hunting, fishing, and watching his Ole Miss Rebels.
He was preceded in death by his father, Horace Eugene Blackwell; stepfather, Julius Lee, and mother, Vondell Darden Lee.
Survivors include his son, Joshua Blackwell (Ashley) of Fleming Island, FL; two brothers, Robbie Blackwell (Jenelle) of Hattiesburg and Todd Blackwell (Katrina) of Quitman; two grandchildren, Mallory Blackwell and Bradley Blackwell and a host of nieces and nephews and other family members.
Pallbearers will be Family and Friends.
