Paul Hall, age 80 of Mt. Olive, Mississippi, passed away August 30, 2025, peacefully surrounded by his family. Born into the love of Harvey H. Hall and Dolly E. Hall on June 14th, 1945. Paul grew into a man whose life reflected devotion, hard work, and an unshakable love for the people around him. Throughout his 80 years, he carried with him a steady strength and a heart that
touched every life he encountered. He was a son, husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend whose presence will be deeply missed but forever remembered.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Harvey H. Hall and Dollie E. Hall; his father-in-law, Louis “Rabbit” McInnis of Prentiss; brothers Jack Hall (Mt. Olive), Jimmy Don Hall (Mt. Olive), and his twin brother Pete Hall (Brookhaven); sister Bobbie Jean Hall-Sullivan (Mt. Olive); brother-in-law Robert “BoBo” McInnis of Prentiss; sister-in-law Debbie Wittie of Prentiss; and
beloved Uncle and Aunt, Tink and Glayds E. Copes of Epps, Louisiana.
Paul is survived by his devoted wife of 58 years, Shirley McInnis-Hall. Together, they built a home filled with love and faith, raising a family that became his greatest accomplishment, source of joy, and lasting legacy. He leaves behind his four children: Jimmy Anderson (Trish) of Taylorsville, MS; Mike “Heaterman” Hall (Julie) of Seminary, MS; Michelle Hall-Ritchey of Mt. Olive, MS; and Denise
“Neicy” Hall-Temple (Jason) of Mt. Olive, MS. Paul was the proud grandfather of 15 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren. He will also be remembered by a host of nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends who cherished him dearly.
Paul was a man whose life was built on love, hard work, faith, and family. He carried himself with quiet strength and a heart that always had room for others. To his children and grandchildren, he was more than a father and grandfather; he was a steady hand, a source of wisdom, a hero, a role model, and the kind of presence that made you feel safe just by being near him.
He had a laugh that could fill a room, a stubborn spirit that carried him through the hardest of times, and a tenderness that showed most in the way he cared for those he loved. His home was always open, his table always ready for family and friends, and his words, whether few or many, were always honest and heard.
Paul’s legacy is not only in the years he lived but in the love he poured into his wife, Shirley, and the family they built together. The lessons he taught through his example, hard work, humility, compassion, and faith will continue to live on in his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
Though he is gone from this earth, his memory will forever be carried in the hearts of those who knew him. The stories, the laughter, and the love he gave so freely will remain as a reminder of a life well lived and a man deeply cherished.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday, September 3, 2025, at Calvary Baptist Church from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., and again on Thursday, September 4, from 9:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. at the church. Services will be at 11:00 am at Calvary Baptist Church with interment following in the church cemetery.
