At the Thursday night, July 7, 2022, Board of Aldermen meeting,  the Magee Volunteer Fire Department presented the city with a new red Tahoe paid for by the volunteers of the department.

According to Philip Magee, the volunteer firemen raise funds for projects all year.  The guys made the decision to use part of their savings to purchase a Tahoe for Fire Chief Lane Steele.  Philip presented the Tahoe keys to the city.  “The Tahoe is paid for. “Zero tax payers money was spent on this vehicle which  was donated back to the City of Magee. The cities responsibility is insurance and upkeep,” explained Philip.
