Mendenhall Elementary released the following information concerning 6th graders going Virtual until September 7th.

August 26, 2021

Dear Parents,
Thank you for being a part of Mendenhall Jr. High. Each day we strive to provide the
best possible education for your children as well as a safe and secure learning
environment. Due to a high number of cases in staff and students in the 6th grade, we
will be going virtual for sixth grade only for a week. This is only for the sixth grade.
Virtual instruction will begin tomorrow, Friday, August 27th and continue until
Tuesday, September 7th.

Your child has a Google Classroom for each of their subject areas. They will need to log
on to class through the Google Meet link. Please see the following schedule to know the
times your child should be in class. It is very important that they are in class on time to be
counted present. Their camera needs to be on the entire time with their face showing.
Students must follow school expectations, dress code, and handbook policies while
online. They will not have to log on between 10:00-11:00 which is their activity rotation.
They will also not log on to 3rd period until 11:45 due to lunch.

Meals will be served as grab and go from 9:00-10:00. Parents make pick up meals by the
cafeteria. Please feel free to contact the office at 601-847-2296 if you have any
questions. We do only have one phone line working at the moment. We are sorry for any
inconvenience this may cause. Thank you for your support as we make decisions that
are in the best interest of our students.

1st Period 7:45-8:45
2nd Period 8:48-10:00
3rd Period 11:03-1:06 (Lunch)
4th Period 1:09-3:00

Sincerely,
Mrs. Sydney Magee
