Simpson Academy Cougars Fall to Pillow Academy 21–9
The Simpson Academy Cougars battled Pillow Academy Friday night, October 16, but the Mustangs pulled away in the second half to claim a 21–9 victory.
The Cougars came ready to play, holding Pillow Academy to a 7–7 tie at halftime. It was anybody’s game heading into the second half!
Unfortunately, the Mustangs found their momentum after the break, and Simpson couldn’t put enough points on the board to overcome Pillow’s lead.
The loss brings Simpson Academy’s season record to 2–7, while Pillow Academy improves to 7–2.
It’s been a challenging season for the Cougars, but this team has continued to battle through some tough competition. The players and coaches know that every game is another opportunity to improve and finish the season on a positive note.
Next up for Simpson Academy is a road trip to face Madison-Ridgeland Academy (MRA) on Friday, October 23, at 7:00 PM.
Keep your heads up, Cougars! There’s still football to be played!
Go Cougars!
