Y’all get ready!!! Crazy Day is almost here!
Saturday, October 24, 2026, marks the 51st Crazy Day celebration in Magee, Mississippi! And if you’ve ever been to Crazy Day, you know this is one day you don’t want to miss!
From 8:00 AM until 4:00 PM, Magee will be filled with food, music, shopping, laughter, fellowship, and plenty of familiar faces! It’s one of those days when you run into people you haven’t seen in years!
Diane McPhail, along with her granddaughter and great-granddaughters, Diana, Malely, and Eva Maddox, stopped by MageeNews to visit and give us a little sneak peek at what’s coming for this year’s celebration. We had the best time talking about Crazy Day, both past and present!
Diane and I decided we’ve probably been to all 51 Crazy Days! Now, that’s a lot of Crazy Days!!!
Do any of y’all remember when Main Street was still open to cars and trucks during Crazy Day? Oh, my goodness! Those were the days! The guys would fill the backs of their pickup trucks with water and ride all over town. You never knew what you might see on Crazy Day!
Does anybody have pictures from those early Crazy Days? I would LOVE to see them! Just think about all the memories made on Main Street over the last 51 years.
That’s what makes Crazy Day so special. It’s more than a festival. It’s a Magee tradition! Generations of families have enjoyed this day, and now we’re watching children, grandchildren, and even great-grandchildren make their own Crazy Day memories.
So, mark your calendars, put on your comfortable shoes, and come enjoy a little craziness in downtown Magee!
Saturday, October 24 | 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM
Be sure to watch the video with Diane and her family as we talk about all the fun planned for this year’s Crazy Day!
See y’all on Main Street!!!
Sue’s Note: Fifty-one years of Crazy Day! Where in the world has the time gone? I’d love to hear your favorite Crazy Day memories. And if you’ve got old pictures, please share them! I think we’d all enjoy a trip down memory lane.
