MDOT Urges Preparedness for Tropical Storm Nate

WHO: The Mississippi Department of Transportation (MDOT).

WHAT: The National Hurricane Center (NHC) isforecasting a potential landfall of Tropical Storm Nate along the Mississippi Gulf Coast that could impact parts of the state. MDOT advises the public to pay close attention to weather and travel advisories issued by the NHC, National Weather Service (NWS), Mississippi Emergency Management Agency (MEMA), Mississippi Highway Patrol (MHP) and local law enforcement. WHEN: According to NHC, Tropical Storm Nate is currently expected to make landfall along the Gulf Coast early Sunday morning as either a tropical storm or hurricane.

WHERE: NHC is forecasting a potential landfall along the Gulf Coast which could impact some parts of the state, specifically coastal counties in South Mississippi.
