Perfect Blend, a cigar and coffee shop, held their Grand Opening Thursday, October 5th.
The new business is located directly behind Cattail Creek (the old Trustmark building). Actually, Perfect Blend is in the same building with Cattail Creek but Perfect Blend has its own entrance which is located across from Craft’s Barber Shop.
Jean-Philippe Cook is the owner of the unique business. The business is open Monday-Friday from 4-8 PM and Saturday 10:00-3:00.
The shop is a must see. Designed and remodeled by Jean-Philippe himself, the shop has a unique blend of tin, wood, and leather! Upon entering the shop, one is overwhelmed by the aromas! Fine leather, roasted coffee, Spanish wood, and of course the cigars transport any customer to another place and time.
The cigars are in a temperature controlled room behind a glass door. The inventory of cigars is quite impressive . Although I know very little about cigars or coffee, I got the grand tour from Chamber President Ian Cowart. Ian explained Jean-Philippe has used Spanish wood because that particular wood is what is needed to preserve the flavors of the cigars. The controlled temperature also plays into the flavor of the cigar.
While sitting and drinking coffee, customers may enjoy two flat screens TVs, dart board, and discussing all the happenings in Magee.
