“After prayerful consideration, I have decided to retire from public office on June 30, 2017 and not seek re-election for Mayor. I would like to thank my family for their total support and I would also like to thank the citizens of Magee for allowing me to serve as Mayor for the last twenty year. Thank you to the present and past Board of Aldermen whom I have served with both as a Mayor and as a City Clerk and a very special thank you to all of the employees of the City of Magee for their dedicated service to this community. Thank you for the opportunity that you gave me to serve you as Mayor and as the City Clerk for 42 years. Magee is truly a special and I know that there are many great things ahead for this Great City and the wonderful people who live here.”
