From Governor Tate Reeves

I want to provide an update on Tropical Storm Francine, which is expected to form into a hurricane today and impact Mississippi as soon as Wednesday.
Severe weather is expected, including damaging winds and flooding. Tornadoes are possible. Please be sure to complete all preparations by tonight.
MEMA has deployed over 100,000 sandbags to counties in preparation for the storm and is in contact with local emergency managers. Other state agencies are on standby to provide resources and respond as necessary.
For more information on where to get sandbags and find a shelter, visit MSEMA.org. Please be weather aware, Mississippi!
