Wednesday, September 4, 2024, a gathering of Magee coaches, the Magee quarterback, SCSD Superintendent, and Mendenhall’s Head Coach took place at MageeNews.com.
Of course, there’s always a little smack talk when you get a bunch of guys talking football.
The most impressive part of the gathering was hearing the Coaches talk of the support and development of their players. Mendenhall Coach Chuckie Allen summed up the feelings of everyone when he explained the important of growing players not only on the football field but in getting them ready for the field of life.
The deal about Chuckie—–he grew up a Trojan! Yes, Chuckie was a standout player at Magee High School beating the Tigers two times in one year with his game saving touchdowns! Coach Chase Courtney explained that Chuckie learned from his years as a Trojan how to put the Tiger team together,

The celebration of Magee-Mendenhall 100 year anniversary is a feat not many schools ever achieve.
