The Magee Police Department arrested Steven Terrell Booth following a traffic accident that occurred on Highway 49 North in Magee.

According to police reports, Booth was taken into custody and transported to the Magee Police Department, where he was booked and charged with DUI (3rd Offense – Felony), Possession of Paraphernalia, No Driver’s License, and No Insurance.

Under Mississippi law, a third offense DUI is classified as a felony. Conviction carries a fine of not less than $2,000 and not more than $5,000, and a prison sentence ranging from one to five years under the custody of the Mississippi Department of Corrections.

The Magee Police Department continues to emphasize the importance of driving responsibly and the serious consequences of impaired driving. Law enforcement officers remain vigilant in their ongoing efforts to protect the public and keep Magee’s roads safe.

“All suspects are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law,” stated Chief Denis J. Borges, Magee Police Department.
