Magee improved to 9-6 (3-1 district) with an exciting win over McLaurin. Caleb Brown led  the team with 4 hits, 2 singles, 1 double and a triple. Brown had 2 RBI’s and 2 runs scored. Other hits included Keshun Collier (1 single), Timon Kennedy (a triple), Dalton Cockrell (2 singles), Seth Russell (2 singles). The game was close until Dalton Cockrell had an RBI fielders choice in the top of 6th inning to break 0-0 tie. In the bottom of the 6th,  McLaurin scored after 2 walks and 2 errors committed by Magee. In the top of 7th Magee answersed back with 2 back to back walks and back to back triples by Caleb Brown and Timon Kennedy and a RBI fielders choice by Aimon Chisholm to score 4 runs. McLaurin answered back in the bottom of the 7th with 2 runs.  Landon Hayes finished strong to strike out the last batter for the win. Landon pitched  acomplete game only allowing 2 hits and 3 strikeouts and 4 walks (3 which were intentional) to pick up his 3rd win of the year.

Magee never gave up and battled all night. Magee again were in double digits in hits and continue to improve overall.

 

Next big division series will be against Raleigh.
