Hosted by the city of Hattiesburg, the Magee 13 year old All-Stars went to battle at Kamper Park for the title of State Champs and the right to represent Mississippi at the World Series. Although the boys came up short in a 4-3 game, this 13-year-old team is outstanding.

The bracket included five teams: Kosciusko, Columbia Duckworth, Laurel, Magee and Hattiesburg. On Saturday, Magee faced Columbia Duckworth and ended the game with a win in the fifth inning at 16-6. On Sunday, Magee faced Kosciusko and also ended the game with a win in the fifth inning at 15-3. Monday, Magee faced Hattiesburg and took their first loss at 9-3. Magee received a bye on Tuesday putting them in the championship playoffs on Wednesday. Because Laurel was defeated for the second time on Tuesday, Magee went straight into the championship game Wednesday. Magee faced Hattiesburg in the Championship game and took their second loss against Hattiesburg 4-3.

There is no doubt that these boys played their hearts out and left everything on the field. We are so very proud of them as well as our coaches and fans.
