Leverl Garner, 88 of Magee, MS passed away Friday, December 29, 2023 in Magee, MS. He was born Wednesday, July 10, 1935 in Mount Olive, Mississippi.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, January 2, 2024 from 12:00pm until 2:00pm at Colonial Chapel Funeral Home, 302 8th Ave SW, Magee, MS, with the funeral service beginning at 2:00pm. Burial will follow in Hopewell Presbyterian Church Cemetery in Mount Olive, Mississippi. Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Magee is in charge of arrangements. 601-849-5031
As everyone knows, Leverl would tell you he was different. He was a special individual and claimed to know it all. However, he was human, loving everyone and being loved by all those who met and knew him. Being a mechanic, he loved working on and tinkering with cars. He will be deeply missed by all his loved ones.
He was preceded in death by his father, William Preston Garner; mother, Sally Jane Chain Garner; brother, Preston Leon Garner; sisters, Katherine Courtney, Alice Miller and Agnes Booth.
Survivors include his brother, Ted Garner; and a host of nieces, nephews, and other family.
Pallbearers will be Wesley Robinson, Michael Booth, Wayne Hollie, Dale Fredrick, Johnny Dollar, Jeff Wade, Scott Booth, and Kevin Garner.
