(1/24/1938 – 12/28/2023)

Betty Jo Garner, 85 of Clinton, MS passed away Thursday, December 28, 2023 at St. Dominic Hospital in Jackson, MS. She was born Monday, January 24, 1938 in Magee, Mississippi.

A Graveside service will be held on Tuesday, January 2, 2024 at 10:00am at Rocky Hill Baptist Church Cemetery in Magee, Mississippi. Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Magee is in charge of arrangements. 601-849-5031

Betty Jo lived a long life of service to her family, taking care of all her family and loved ones. Her dedication to her family was evident in everything she did. Her family and friends will miss her dearly.

She was preceded in death by her father, James Estus Kennedy; mother, Normaree Smith Kennedy; sister, Carol Jean Kennedy Martin.

Survivors include her husband of 66 years, Tom Henry Garner; sons, Terry Garner (Stacy) and Rick Garner (Kim); daughter, Tamra Garner Hedgepeth; grandchildren, Georgia Garner and Trey Hedgepeth (Nicole).

Honorary pallbearers will be Terry Garner, Rick Garner, Trey Hedgepeth, and Justin Brooks.
