The Scriptural passage chosen for today is found in Colossians 3:12: “As God’s chosen people, holy and dearly loved, clothe yourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness, and patience.” Yes, the New Testament writer wanted Christians to know that they were, indeed, special, separate, and set aside by God. As such, we need never be ashamed, bashful, or shy about our standing with the Master of the universe. Instead, we are to seek to put on those very attributes of God’s own Son Jesus, who was known for His compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness, and patience. Oh, to be more and more like Jesus! That should be our aim, our goal, our priority. Let us strive to be more Christ-like in our daily walk. Amen!
