John “Bud” Duncan Warren went to be with his Lord peacefully on June 23, 2022, at his home in Mendenhall. MS surrounded by his family.
Bud was born on July 25, 1933, in Simpson County. He was a retired tool and die maker who was loved dearly by all who knew him. He touched the lives of many with his selflessness and desire to help others however he could. He helped with things in his community like building the playground at Weathersby Baptist Church. You could always find him in his garden, in his shop or in the kitchen. There was not anything he couldn’t fix. He was always happy and had an encouraging words. Anyone who stopped by would be treated as a member of the family and offered food and something to drink. Wherever he was he would always have a good time and make sure those that were with him had a good time as well. He loved his family more than anything and Thanksgiving was one of his favorite holidays because he loved cooking a giant feast for family, friends and neighbors. Whenever you stopped by, you would be sure to get the best biscuit in the world and an ear pull to make you laugh and the best hug! He treated everyone like family.
