John “Bud” Duncan Warren went to be with his Lord peacefully on June 23, 2022, at his home in Mendenhall. MS surrounded by his family.

Bud was born on July 25, 1933, in Simpson County. He was a retired tool and die maker who was loved dearly by all who knew him. He touched the lives of many with his selflessness and desire to help others however he could. He helped with things in his community like building the playground at Weathersby Baptist Church. You could always find him in his garden, in his shop or in the kitchen. There was not anything he couldn’t fix. He was always happy and had an encouraging words. Anyone who stopped by would be treated as a member of the family and offered food and something to drink. Wherever he was he would always have a good time and make sure those that were with him had a good time as well. He loved his family more than anything and Thanksgiving was one of his favorite holidays because he loved cooking a giant feast for family, friends and neighbors. Whenever you stopped by, you would be sure to get the best biscuit in the world and an ear pull to make you laugh and the best hug! He treated everyone like family.

He is survived by his sons, Ronald Mack Warren, D’Lo, MS, Tracy Glenn Warren Nettleton, MS, Lester Everett Warren, Mendenhall, MS, John Eric Warren, Mendenhall, MS; his grandchildren, Jason, Josh, Christa, Ronnie, Ryan, Kortney, Kayla Lynn, Alex, and Myranda. He is also very lovingly known as “Peepaw.”

He was preceded in death by his parents, Dock Warren and Mae Smith Warren of Simpson County and his daughter, Gloria Lynn Ford, Birmingham, AL.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, June 26, 2022, at Tutor Funeral Home in Mendenhall, MS from 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm. Funeral services will be on Monday, June 27, 2022, 10:00 am at Weathersby Baptist Church with Bro. John Coleman officiating. Interment will follow in Weathersby Baptist Church Cemetery.

Arrangements are entrusted with Tutor Funeral Home of Mendenhall.
