If you asked anyone in Simpson County if they knew Winky Kennedy, their faces would surely light up. Winky was well known and deeply loved throughout the community. He had a passion for fishing and racing, but above all, he was devoted to sharing the love of Jesus.
Winky had a heart for people and was often described as having the gift of exhortation. He lived that calling every day—lifting others up, spreading joy, and always finding a way to make someone laugh. It was not unusual to find him out in town praying with strangers or boldly witnessing to anyone he met. Grateful for all that God had done in his life, Winky was committed to making sure everyone around him knew the goodness of the Lord.
