Louise was a patient, loving, and compassionate woman whose life was a reflection of her deep faith and devotion to the Lord. She shared His love with everyone she met, especially her children, whom she faithfully taught about His Word and ways. Her gentle spirit and kind heart left a lasting impression on all who knew her.

She had a gift for making others feel cared for, often through the talents and passions she poured into her daily life. She enjoyed crocheting, creating pieces that were stitched with love and thoughtfulness. But perhaps her greatest ministry was found in the kitchen, where cooking became her way of serving others. Whether it was preparing meals for family, friends, or anyone in need, her food was more than nourishment, it was an expression of her love and compassion.

Above all, her life was a testimony of grace, faith, and selfless devotion. She leaves behind a legacy of kindness, patience, and unwavering love that will continue to inspire those who were blessed to know her.

She was preceded in death by her father, Barney Higgins; mother, Emma Saulters Higgins; and 9 brothers and sisters.

She is survived by her loving husband of 67 years, Gary Amason of Mendenhall, MS; daughters, Vicky Amason McKay (Preston) of Mount Olive, MS, Jackie Amason Smith of Terry, MS and Patty Amason Jackson (Kevin) of Picayune, MS; sister, Lois Abernathy Taylor; grandchildren, Jacob Jackson, Joshua Jackson, Jocelyn Jackson, Charity Phillips, Hope May, Keith Manuel and Michelle Manuel; 14 great grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild

Pallbearers will be Keith Manuel, Kenneth Phillips, Jacob Jackson, John Knight, Brandon Mitchell, Spencer Phillips, and Samuel Phillips.

Honorary pallbearers will be Jabin Phillips and Malachi Clark.

Special music will be performed by Cassie Garrett and Roger Welch.
