On 08/29/2025, the Magee Police Department conducted multiple safety checkpoints throughout the city. These checkpoints resulted in two DUI arrests:
LaJarvis M. Wilson was arrested and charged with DUI 1st, No Driver’s License, and No Insurance.
Bertha Owens was arrested and charged with DUI 1st, Possession of Paraphernalia, Driving While License Suspended, and No Insurance.
All suspects are presumed innocent until proven guilty.
Violent crime in Magee is down, along with accidents involving injuries, and that is exactly what we want for our community. We will continue our efforts to keep Magee safe.
