James Robert Parker, 74 of Taylorsville, MS passed away Monday, January 19, 2026 at his residence in Taylorsville, MS. He was born Tuesday, July 31, 1951 in Taylorsville, Mississippi.

Graveside services will be held on Saturday, January 24, 2026 at 2:00 P.M. at Clear Creek Cemetery in Taylorsville, Mississippi. Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Taylorsville is in charge of arrangements. 601-785-6564

He was preceded in death by his father, W.H. Parker;  mother, Pauline Creel Parker; brothers, Joe Billy Parker and Charles Douglas Parker; sister, Margaret  Lillian Parker Burger.

Survivors include his wife, Sandra Parker, son, Robert Grayson; daughter, Teresa Sims (Clint); grandchildren, Tyler Sims (Sayuri), Ethan Sims and Vallie Sims (Jeffery);  great- grandchildren, Maya Sims, Koto Sims, McKenna  Sims and Grayson Parker Miller.

Pallbearers will be Robert Grayson, Ethan Sims, Jeffery Miller, Brandon Sims, Clint Stokes, and Billy Ryan.

Honorary pallbearers will be Tyler Sims, Vallie Sims, David Glen Abercrombie, Terry Abercrombie, and Teresa Sims.
