ColonialChapelHilda Jean Farr Wheat, 80 , of Magee passed away on Tuesday, March 3 after a lengthy battle with cancer.

Services for Hilda Jean Farr Wheat will be held Saturday, March 7 at Shiloh Baptist Church in Magee. Burial will follow at Shiloh Baptist Church Cemetery with Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Magee in charge of arrangements, (601)849-5031.

She is preceded in death by her husband Bennie Gene Wheat, Sr., daughter Lynda Shows (Townsend), daughter Theresa Rayborn(Donnie), son Bennie Gene Wheat, Jr. , daughter Deborah Norris and granddaughter Kalee Ashton Garner.

She is survived by her son Billy J. Wheat (Kathy), daughter Ellen Garner (Jerry), son Gary D. Wheat, son Scotty J. Wheat (Holly), 16 grandchildren, 37 great-grandchildren; sisters Earnestine Seals (Pat), Kathy Crane (Paul) and Ladonna Thomas (Mike).

Visitation will be Friday, March 6 from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. at Colonial Chapel Funeral Home in Magee and on Saturday from 9:30 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. at Shiloh Baptist Church in Magee.
